Stranger Things is a science fiction horror drama television series that premiered its first season on 15th July 2016 on Netflix. The story is set in the 1980s in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. The series is about the occurrence of numerous supernatural events, including the abduction of a child around the town, specifically around their connection to a hostile alternate reality called “Upside Down” after a link between it and Earth is made by a government child experimentation facility. David Harbour portrays Jim Hopper, chief of Hawkins Police Department, grieved by the demise of his young daughter from cancer, divorced, and lapsed into alcoholism.
